12" Carded Spidey...is it rare?

I just scored this today...I've always seen them in boxes, but never on a card. Is it rare? It's unpunched and everything.

They're not super rare but not especially common either. That looks like a really great example.

Yea, usually the cards are badly warped.

Back in the mid 90's my local comic shop used to have one for sale priced at $80.00

This is how I bought my 12" Spidey back when I was a kid, I always liked how he looked on the card. It's still not in my current collection, I never can seem to find a really nice one when I'm ready to buy. Nice grab there!

I think that is the best packaging of the Mego 12 inch Spidey, because you have a nice view of the figure and a great collage of John Romita's classic artwork to boot!

Rare as a hen with a drinking problem, but not quite as rare as a hen with teeth.

When found, they're usually curled up or have bubble damage. They're kind of awkwardly big.

WOW.. Yes, I need to buy one of these QUICK..! I ended up not buying the C/A Spidey set from a collector for a good price. I had it for a while a few years back, with Wes's fantastic Spidey gloves no less, but it didn't seem to keep my interest.

This isn't nearly as valuable, but I think it'll look cooler on the shelf.

Awesome card art, all the poses look familiar and I am sure are taken from quite a few ASM Romita Sr Spidey covers. The one of Spidey crouching is from the Spidey treasury edition i think.

For nostalgia reasons this is my favorite Mego packaging I was fortunate to score a great example from Bryan last summer. There is just something about that Romita Sr art against the yellow background. Plus it came with a web, although I am sure it took me no more than a day or two and that thing was MIA.
