    Hmmmm....

I know Don and Superman used the same head, but did one have copyright info and the other not? I have a Superman head that was THOROUGHLY grey, and I fixed it up and used it for a repro Don, but it doesn't have copyright info on it.

That is correct, as far as I know.

Most of the peace belts I've seen have had at least a little of that purple dye on them.
The peace belt was because Dinah Mite was groovy!

An interesting (or maybe not) tidbit about the Peace Symbol found on the Dinah Mite Peace belt. It actually originated in Britain as the logo for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in the late 50's. As it made its way to America, it became a broader symbol of peace during the Civil Rights Movement and protest against the Vietnam War. The obvious question becomes what Mego was thinking when they incorporated it into the belt design on Dinah Mite and later Supergirl. Was it just a sign of the times, or was it more a reflection of the whole Hippie movement that Dinah's fashions often emulated.

Miss Mite is so nice! I love collecting her. I wonder how I missed her as a kid. I would have loved her and her outfits and playsets. The supergals were some of my favorite toys and Miss Mite and her collection would have been the perfect addition to them.

I just missed for the second time a glittery purple jumpsuit DM doll with the peace belt on ebay. It went for 199.99 so some of her items are a little pricey but most are very reasonable.

The only Dinah I've got is one that's being customized into a Black Canary, but I've been tempted to try and start picking up some of her stuff as well. Haven't caved yet, but you never know...
