Why do we like WGSH Megos so much?

The scale is perfect for a kid's hands. 12 inch figures are too big - and
brightly colored costumes look odd on that size - which is why the
Captain Action Superman had a deeper blue than MEGO Superman.
The key to mego's charm is simplicity - it's easy to over-accessorize,
but too many parts get in the way of playing. It's easy to do a lot
of detailing on the faces and costumes, etc. etc. but you can get
the point across with a brushstroke, instead of a lot of paint.Comment

"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

Nostalgia.
Because let's be honest...to most people (like my friends for instance, who for some mysterious reason, didn't come across Megos, and they are my age, so go figure))...think they are the funkiest looking action-figure they have ever seen...

They were fun and cheap compared to GI Joe, Johnny West, and Big Jim, so my folks would get me more of 'em. Like those toys, they looked like toys (unlike the new action figs, which are like sculptures).
They were the 1st depictions I'd seen of comics characters and they had tactile appeal
b/c of their clothing (another advantage over modern figs).
