HaHa...that is exactly what I first thought.

He's not too bad --- haven't completed decided on him yet. My biggest grip is the glove/cuff things. Not a big fan of how they look. Also the pelvis/legs/boots area does look odd on all of these figures.

While I do prefer Mego's molded cowl Batman, the removable cowl on this one looks better than the removable cowl that Mego had. At least this one doesn't make him look like he's wearing a hoodie.

And if I were gonna buy this one, I'd put on some Doc Mego shorts, (in blue).

Wow, people really are hard to please. I like these gloves/cuffs, HUGE improvement over the oven mitts if you ask me. And at least these you won't loose after playing with your Batman for 2 minutes

The head and RC look a lot better than I thought they would.

I wasn't attacking his opinion, just genuinely surprised someone prefers the oven mitts over these gloves. No need to read too much into what I said

I don't have a problem with oven mitts, but I do prefer how mego did it with Green Goblin for example. However, I do not like the thick material that Mattel uses for the clove cuffs. They should just use the same fabric as the costume, like how Mego did it. Would look a TON better, and way more retro.

I really like you Meule but HOW do you equate hating these glove cuffs means loving oven mitts? I certainly didn't say that. Reminds me of when I say how I hate the movie Xmen costumes, everybody goes on about spandex. Now honestly, they couldn't do better than biker outfits? They didn't have to be spandex for me to like them but biker outfits? Sad.

Anyway, I would much rather see cuffs ala the magnetic Mego Batman. Now those would rock. Or even gloves like Mr. Fantastic although Bats wouldn't be able to hold anything. Now, as a kid, if Bats had Mr.Fantastic style gloves, oh yeah.. I would've been all over that. He couldn't really hold anything with the oven mitts anyway and the Mr.Fanatastic gloves stayed on and look cool.

To me, these Mattell glove cuffs look cheap. Every bit as cheap as oven mitt gloves. They look much like how Charlee Flatt made his Batman gloves and I never liked those either. Now, a huge company like Mattell can't make better gloves than a customizer? I'm sorry but that's sad. Every bit as sad as those horrid legs.

Oh yeah, Mr.F gloves, totally forgot about those.
I dunno why, but when we talk about Batman and gloves Mego's oven mitts and Mattel's cuffs automatically come to mind and I forget about the rest. So when you say you hate the cuffs I read that as you love oven mitts

But now that I'm thinking about it. If Mattel would've made Mr. F like gloves they might've used the same material they used for the boots. And seeing how people are already complaining those are too thick they probably wouldn't like the gloves either

That's the first thing I thought a ways back when people were talking about Mr. F type gloves. Don't give Mattel any ideas. That would be just one step closer to Famous Cover nightmares.

We thought about the plastic gloves but it had the same problem as the oven
mitts - the figure cannot hold anything in his hands.

The gauntlet was MEGO's update to Batman and Robin in the Magnetic versions,
but we opted for a leatherette instead of plastic to contour the arm better.
