Just finishing watching the Documentary on Bob Kane that's on the Gotham Knight DVD.
That bloody 60's show did make him popular and later Bob agrees that the camp was too much. Of course he didn't care as long as he reaped the rewards of his life's work.
But the original vision was dark.

Start looking for wave 2 over the next few weeks. They are scheduled to
hit TRU in mid-July, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start appearing
next week in time for the 4th.

Sorry...but benevolent and blue belongs to Superman.

Batman is best as his opposite...dark (black/gray), brooding, scary...and with a bad attitude...just like in Bob Kane's original vision.

There's two contexts here though.

Yeah, I'm all for Batman "opposite of Supes"---

that can go a LONG way....2010 and beyond infinity AFAIC.

but as far as the EMCE figure(s) go, I want them to smack of the 1970s
comicbook/ Bronze Age influence... and keep it to that.

Duuuuuude, you just inspired me to be interested in a SUPES/IVY or
SUPES/CATWOMAN storyarc.

LOIS and BRUCE has been interesting in the past (time & time again)
... but "CLARK... and a Gothamite woman" hasn't been explored...
and "Bruce chicks" that aren't villains aren't really interesting.
