    1 more wave "guaranteed".. maybe.

"committed" has a different meaning than "guaranteed"

Aquaman gets my vote for best of the bunch. I still wish that the cards would have been individually colored. I'll be scoring a few anyhooo..

Two-Face is my favorite of the bunch. I don't like the big moon boots on Batman and Black Manta so I'll probably replace them.

I really wish they would have switched Two Face's shoes. They're on the wrong feet.

And, I really wish Aquaman's hair was parted on the other side. Everybody knows he parts his hair on the left.

And, I really wish Black Manta's suit wasn't so black. I mean I know Black is in his name but it was a dark blue on Challenge.

And, I really wish they used the Mego sculpt of Batman. I mean come on that was a PERFECT representation of Batman. The quintessential look IMO

And, I am not liking the way they have the characters on the card back. I think having the villain on one side and the heroes on the other doesn't look right. They should either switch Manta with Aquaman or 2 Face with Bats. Then I will like them.

    (^^^^Tongue planted firmly in cheek!)

They look great! Thanks Doc and Mattel.

I will probably get 2 of each. One to display in package and the other to open.

I think I'm done with these. I appreciate all the work Doc has put into them, but the skinny-waisted bodies are just so lousy and some of the design choices so perplexing that I can't buy them any more... well, maybe Superman-related characters. Especially not at $25 each.

While I can understand the love for him, Aquaman looks like his lunch money is routinely stolen and he's always picked last in gym class games. Seriously, I look at him and wonder, "Is this some kind of joke?"

While I wish the line continued success, I honestly think the Hasbro DC Superheroes from ten years ago were nicer.

Twoface is definitely going to be on my monitor as far as this line goes. Not impressed with the Batman figure...and I'm not much of a fan of Manta. Aquaman does look like Aqualad more than Aquaman....But Twoface will be a definitely pickup.

    Hey folks.
I don't think these are final production pieces. I think they're test shots for the cards. I could be wrong but Batman's cape is unstitched and his arms are still baggy. I don't hate mask. I don't love it but it's DEFINITELY Mego-esque. Aquaman looks the best IMO though he looks a bit more like Aqualad. Those legs REALLY need to go. Mego had issues, we all know that and it's one of the reasons we love them so much but man these legs are just horrendous. No excuse for them.
I showed my oldest and he was happy with all of them but hates the glove cuffs and thinks Aquaman looks too young. Other than that, and the bowed, rather silly looking legs, he was happy with them.

I think the "coin" under Two Face's foot is just one of the air holes in the packaging. I could be wrong though.

Overall I like these, but I'm also disappointed with Batman. I never liked the removable cowl. I would have preferred a molded cowl. But I'll be picking these up anyways. My son won't care one way or the other. He'll just be happy to have them. I think the villains are the best in this wave and I will probably buy them first. It would be nice to see a molded cowl Batman in the future. I'm afraid they're going to give Robin a removable mask as well (if and when they make him) and that bothers me.

I know I could replace the Batman head with a Mego molded cowl head, but the colors wouldn't match so that would irritate me more than the removable cowl. I'll get used to the removable cowl in time I'm sure, but I wish I didn't have to. There should be a variant molded cowl in my opinion. Then people could buy the version they prefer.

I was really hoping that all the figures would come with an accessory because I really enjoyed those extra touches in wave 1 even if Superman didn't have anything. A batarang seems like an obvious accessory for Batman, a gun or at least a coin for Two Face, and something for Black Manta. I don't know what Black Manta uses so I can't be specific there. I thought the accessories were Mattel's way of sweetening the deal when wave 1 came out, but I guess not. The accessories are not really a problem because I'll give Two Face a gun myself, and I'll do some research and give Black Manta something too. I think I have a batarang from another toy line lying around too, so that problem is solved.

Overall, I like wave 2. Are the figures exactly what I wanted? No. But Batman is my only real concern. He's the figure I've wanted the most. I know I'll get over the cowl in time, but I'll never stop hoping for a molded cowl variant. I'll continue to support this line and I wish Mattel nothing but success with the Retro Action line.

I can guarantee that my son will love them all and that makes me happy.

    Keep 'em coming, Mattel!
