Toy Collector Magazine Article: Mego Book

There is a nice article, in the latest issue of Toy Collector Magazine, about the forthcoming Mego book from TwoMorrows Publications.

Presuming you have Flash installed on your browser, you can read the article as formatted by the publisher, like the picture above, here:

    Full Mego Article (with pictures)

NB: Upon clicking the link above, give the page a moment to load the entire (highly graphical) magazine.

It's actually a really cool 'online' treatment for a magazine, featuring 'page turning' action (click the upper right hand corner of each page to 'turn' the page)!

If you don't have Flash installed (really? is that still possible?), you can read the HTML version (without pictures) here:

    Lo-Tech Version (no pictures)

I don't remember doing this particular interview with this particular publication. I thought this article was supposed to appear in ToyFare and/or Wizard, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, I'm thrilled by any press on the topic. I learned about it through my GoogleAlerts, and thought I'd pass on the links.

Cool would be an understatement.. kudos to Toy Collector Mag for a fantastic presentation and amazing interview. Hard to believe Toyfare would have done it the same justice. Really looking forward to the book!

I agree. I'm particularly pleased that the article illuminates my unceasing appreciation of the MegoMuseum.com community, not to mention specific whoop-whoops (AKA 'Shout-Outs') to board members Rob Chatlin (rchatlin) and Dan Crandall (dumbldor).

So many people on these boards were instrumental in the book's evolution, and it's gratifying to see those acknowledgments finally published outside of this forum.

It was very cool of you to acknowledge the community Benjamin. That was a pretty cool article, and excellent use of Flash technology to boot. I wonder if the author intended to have it used for Toyfare but they passed and he brought it to this publication. Either way, the pictures were stunning, very thoughtful of you to provide them, and smart, since they are a great teaser for the book itself.

An absolute pleasure to read, especially with the page turning action. And awesome pics to illustrate it all, congrats Ben

I've been patiently waiting for this cool publication to do something, anything about Mego. I'm glad to see the subject matter they chose, very cool.
