    It's me, UOBob.

Wow. I take 10 months or so off, and some things change around here... who would have thunk it?!

Anyway, the new forum looks awesome, but like all technology developed after about 1980, it hates me. Brian can't find my old account and I haven't heard back from Joe yet, so for now anyway, looks like my handle is "Help!" Yes, thats dumb and I should have put more thought into it, but hopefuly it's only temporary!

It's great to see some folks here that I remember and it's equally great to see so many new members! And, Holy Cow, those new MM cards?!? WOW! Of course I still haven't finished my WGSH set, but it's nice to know that if I ever do, I'll still have something to obsess over!

No new Megos to speak of since last I was here, although I did just send payment to a member here for one of those sweet, sweet, 12" Heros that I still need... yes, I still have the same weird attachment for the "odd" size Megos!

I did score the very best yard sale box I have ever come across in my life a few months back, but of course, no Mego...

3 fairly well perfect Joes and assorted gear with 2 rather less perfect boxes. Not pictured, about a gazillion assorted uniforms, hats, sleeping bags, guns, etc, etc, all appearing to be unplayed with. More than enough firepower and assorted gear of war to make the Megos in the display cases a little nervous! It was a huge lot of stuff, and all the figures and about 90% of the gear is from '64 with the "Japan" markings. But yeah, no Mego... :(

So thats by far the most rad thing thats happened to me in the last 10 months or so. I hope everyone is well and I look forward to catching up on things in the coming days, and maybe even getting my old handle back! It's great to be back, and I'll see ya around the forums!

Hey UOBob, I was wondering where you got to. Happy to see you found your way back (same thing happened to me a couple months ago). Great GI Joe score, how much did you get it all for?

You know, I didn't realize how much I missed this place till I came back! Thank you all for the warm (re) welcome, and extra thanks to ABMAC for fixing my handle.

Great GI Joe score, how much did you get it all for?
10 bucks. I was so shocked that I didn't even come back with the automatic,
"10 bucks?! Thats crazy... I'll give ya 3!"

I think this was the only time I have ever not haggled at a yard sale. I was so surprised at finding such sweet old toys, that I was suffering from a sort of system shock. I just numbly peeled off a ten spot and shuffled back to the car in a daze with my big box of goodness.

Of course now I've used my "once in a life time" find on GI Joes, as opposed to Megos or SW stuff. :(

Welcome back Bob, still garage selling? Any great finds?

I traded the RL police car I got from you, but my brother still has the NASA plaque.

I got a third thing from you, but don't remember what it was.

Your guess is as good as mine... better probably, as I have a lousy memory!

I'm "only" 37, but if I didn't have that particular model, I sure had one very much like it... no mistaking that ladder... it was the primary means by which my Apes got on top of their Fortress! That truck/ladder design is so rad, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it was used by Tonka, mabye with a tweak here and there, for decades.
