    Cleaning stained clear playset vinyl?

Is there a product or technique to remove stains from the clear vinyl encasing some Mego playsets?

    Would Remove-Zit work?

I recently purchased a POTA Village. The interior pack of the playset, including the trap-door, has stained vinyl from the jail bars and instructions being pressed against it in storage, prob. over many years.

The vinyl itself is remarkably supple, just discolored.

Any advice is appreciated. Otherwise, it is a complete and very nice set.

    Thank you!
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Lighter fluid probably wouldn't hurt, but I doubt it will help. If the staining is caused by plastic reacting with vinyl it's probably chemically altered the vinyl for good.

scott said it. if there dye tranfer from the object to the vinyl. it pretty much bonded in.
maybe windex with orange in it.or straight orange juice.
                but its a long shot.

I agree...but be careful about using citrus cleaners, they soften some plastics and vinyls

Yes, it's def. in the vinyl as a stain--that's why I wondered about Remove-Zit.
