You just made a powerful enemy my friend.

Actually I think the line is gangbusters but I can understand why it didn't fly. Maybe if BJ and the Bear was on TV at the time...

I love the premise. Big fan of CW McCall as well.
-"next time I tell you to put a rock under it, I mean a ROCK. That thing ain't no bigger than a grapefruit." good stuff

I love the CB truck. Awesome toy with tons of play value. A little awkward to carry under your arm to a friends house, but so was the fire engine I used to push up and down the sidewalk. Same goes for the Bear Masher.

Not so hot on the squatting figures. (even much less so for the redos in the Chips line) I like the concept of the figures. But the execution, recycling of parts and scrunchy unpainted faces just don't do it for me. Somethin for everyone, tho. That's what makes the toy world go 'round.

If I'm in trouble for not liking McHaul, I'm gonna burn for this one. I don't really like the CAH squatty figures either. Makes me feel like everyone in the universe just had a Jalapeno Popper sandwich and has to hit the loo.

How I wish I could still order a Flintstones playset at that price!
When I think of CB McHaul I know BJ and the Bear should come to mind but instead it makes me think of Sheriff Lobo.

And how could you forget the unfortunate position their hands ended up in. These figures are just wrong looking.

Very cool to see these order forms. It's interesting to see some of the stuff that didn't make it to production. (I didn't know that Mego was planning a Lindsay Wagner doll for their TV Starz line)

I wonder how they could do that when Kenner was making ther Bionic Woman?
Maybe that's why it got nixed?
                          Would love to see prototypes.

Didn't Mego have the Farrah doll at the same time that Hasbro made the Charlie's Angels dolls though?

Neal Kublan told me at the Toyfair that year Bernie Loomis (Head of Kenner) growled at him at a restaurant. Although I think it was good natured, Mego had announced a Lindsay Wagner and Lee Majors doll. Neither were produced.
