    Last Childhood Grail

Along with Iron Man, and The Thing, the Green Goblin was one of the figures I drooled over in the Heroes World ads. I don't actually recall ever seeing him in a local toy store, or maybe he was just too freaky for my mom to get me one. For whatever reason I never had one. But thanks to Megomaverick I've now got the last grail on my list.

(I got Spidey from Mav, too!)

Thanks! And yes, a T2. Are they more desirable?

Good looking figure. Not sure about the desirability factor on the T2 versus the T1. (I happen to be one of those crazy T1 lovers.) My recollection with the wave which Green Goblin is part of is that they were only on T1 bodies for a short while before being transitioned over to T2s. Nice pick up though and congrats.

Since Green Goblin is very rare on the card, but not in the box, we have to
surmise the more production was done in the type 1 body in a box days
than in the type 2 body on a card later days.

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about the type of body they come with. I've just seen a couple threads/comments in regards to the T2 Goblin, and thought it might be more highly desired by serious collectors. The only T1 fig I have is that Spidey in the pic.

Very interesting. You learn something new everyday. Is that true just with respect to Green Goblin from this wave? Because as a kid and even in reacquiring some of these figures from the 1975 wave (Falcon, Iron Man), I actually picked up boxed T2s - as opposed to boxed T1s.

/\ /\ Or was Green Goblin not even part of the '75 wave??? [EDIT] Just checked the galleries and answered my own question. So Green Goblin introduced in '74??

I did not mean to belittle the T1 Gobby in any way. Both are great figures to own and if you get a minty satchel, well then does it really matter? I have a preference for the T2 as I remember liking them much more as a kid and, yes, they are a tiny bit harder to find.

Now if you're talking about a T1 Iron Man, well I hate the piece of poo
