Looks to be the re-seal...look just under the "Worlds Greatest.. " Logo Box and you can see the re-sealed tear. Still an awesome piece...original or re-seal. Congrats.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

Yeah, I think it is. This is my production company (we have since changed to Reckless Sidekick productions at swassadventures.com) at the New York Con in 2007 (part 2). At 8:49 I'm with Mark Huckabone and he has this Iron man and we showcase it. The figure isn't resealed yet. Me and Mark got pretty tight after this.
In all honesty, I could have bought it right then and there quite easily. Mark offered me an incredible deal for it. But like I said before, I'm not a big Iron man fan and even though I like his Mego figure I never really wanted it. I usually get things for myself and my collection. I could have eventually sold it but I'm not really in the market to buy something and then turn around and sell it for more money. I get what I like and even if the price is crazy high, if I want it, I get it and I pass on everything even if it's a "grail" or extremely rare item. To each his own.
I waited about 25 years to get my "grail" piece from Mark a year or two before this Iron man incident and before I even knew who he was. I got his Mego Elastic Hulk from his own private collection. And this Elastic Hulk is widely regarded as the best example of this toy in the world (there are only 11 figures left and only 2 have never been restored of fixed up. And there are only 5 original boxes left with only mine being dead mint). Mark even said it was the best Elastic Hulk he has ever seen in 16 years (and we all know that Mark knows his Mego shyat).
This Elastic Hulk (as well as Mark's Elastic Spider-man and Plastic man) is fabulously pictured in an article on Mego with a nice Marty Abrams interview in Tomart's Action Figure Digest #60 (1999). Mark showcased a lot of his Mego stuff in that article. Anyone here have it? It's on EBay right now!!
