    I hate the Hunt.
It is often riddled with disapointment, upon disapointment, before the once a Month find of something you need or want. I want my toys, and want them now.

I enjoy the hunt..to a point. There's one pice non-mego I've been wanting for years and every time I get close to getting it something goes worng. At this point if it came up at a reasonable price I'd be more than happy to just buy and FINALLY have it.
Comics I think are a great example of the hunt/acquire balance for me. I carry a small notebook containing lists if issues I need to fill my run when I go to shows. It great to find books I need but it's equally fun to cross them off the list and a bonus if it's something I've never read before.

Really? When I get outbid too many times I just buy something else to make that feeling of disappointment go away and the hunt is back on

I really don't buy stuff on ebay that much ...., anymore. Maybe something new outside of comics, like once or twice a month. as for New stuff ..., in stores, I have given up hunting for the most part. If
I see something I grab it, if I don't, I am not driving to another, and another, and another in search of it. I just try, when I have cash, just to order a set, case or whatever from someone, then I know I get it, for sure, with stuff I collect, and figures from Japan.

The old stuff I don't mind being patient for and waiting for the planets to align, etc. The old stuff for me is to physically recapture the memory of something I had as a kid or really wanted as a kid. The memory and feelings aren't going away, so I can relax and go with the flow.

When new stuff comes out that has chase figures and the like, I get impatient. I don't get new stuff that is not meant for kids to play with. I get the new stuff for my kids to enjoy, and I get frustrated if I cannot find an item because it might be worth somthin' someday.
            It's all good!
