Rare Mego Ape Tunic variant?

Please forgive the lousy photography. I've had this is my collection for about 15 years. I've never seen another tunic with cuffs that go up past the elbows. The color is a cranberry-ish brown. The cuffs are also more rounded than the other cuffs I've seen.

THere are always slight color variations,
but as for the sleeves, I say custom/repair job.

I'm guessing someone sewed the cuffs of the standard gloves in place,
possibly after the finger portion tore away.
