Tomart #187 showing EMCE some love!

Picked up Tomart's #187 yesterday to find they gave Doc and EMCE a 4 page spread. (pg. 20-23) Oh yeah! There are some close ups of Retro-heroes series 2. There's also pics of Supercollector and Brick, too. Gotta love it.
Here's the scans of the pages.

Cool! I was hoping the Brick SC would creep into coverage. That's a pretty awesome spread of 8" goodness.

Ya know, I'm no Aquaman fan but the more I see the figure the more I get the Super Friends feel for it. It's growing on me.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

This is very cool! And I love the fact that it talks about the customizing community. Hey, I guess I'm one of those "kids"!

wonder where the display case was from? One of the cons? Interesting that there are some of the real deal there on the 2nd shelf from the bottom. Out of context, I just wonder what the Marvels are doing there.

Glad to see Brick in the case tho. And the customizing blurb is SUPER cool. I must say, at this house, trying to get kids to customize and kitbash is about the same as trying to get them to eat donuts.

Lithgow. Oyeah; awesome. I can feel my BB customs coming together. YES!

I kinda hate to admit this, but that Batman head is growing on me.

                  Still hoping on the cuffs........

Now that's advertisement, 4 pages WOOHOOW
And awesome to see Brick and Supercollector in the mix too.
Love that display case, where is that from?
About Dexter tho, I thought John Litgow wouldn't be made into a figure? I remember reading that somewhere here. Have the plans changed?

The display case was a rental - the fake wood look was just a happy
coincedence. While I was sad that BBP protos, Star Trek, Apes, and
Mattel DC Superheroes forced us to move the Museum playsets and
figures to the "basement" level - you have to admit that they looked
cool there amidst all the fake wood accents.

We just wanted to show some vintage MEGO and it seems weird not
to include a Spidey and Capt. America. We made sure to keep them
far away from the new Mattel figures. In fact, if you look closely, we
have a vintage carded Superman next to the new Mattel one for comparison.

yeah, I saw the carded Supes in there and sort of figured it was a 'divider' to separate the modern figures from their vintage cousins. Just wondered why the Cap and Spidey were in there. I know better, but it sort of leads people to wonder if Marvel is in on this 8" thing as well.

So this was the case you all had at Toyfair this year? Nice. I hope a couple of thousand folks gave it a gander while it was up.

Looking forward to it and the Dexter news is interesting. Has that been mentioned here before?

Very nice layout and good to see them getting coverage. I sure hope Mattel irons out some of the problems in the next round. Looking forward to them.
