Awesome to see the Mego version of Klingon lifesize. The Mugato is cool, but he's not the Mego version. You need some funky disco clothes for that, but major props on the Klingon. How many people "got it"?
In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

I was wondering the same thing. I wonder how many less would have "got" someone dresses as a Mego Mugato. Now THAT would be impressive
Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome and wonderful comments!
Dave Mc, I think that few "got it." You'd have to ask the guy in the Klingon costume to be sure.
I must make it clear that the Klingon was someone we just happened to run across briefly. I wish I had more time to talk to him about his costume. I was actually hoping that someone here would know who he was? He must be quite the Mego fan to attempt such an elaborate project.
I plan to create an accurate Life-size Mego Kirk for the next DragonCon and I have some other Life-size Mego Costume ideas as well. I think that I'm onto something here.
Here are a couple more pics for you guys to enjoy.
I'm Skully, and that's me in the Mego Klingon Costume.
I belong to a Star Trek Klingon club and was wanting a new costume. I wanted to do something different that I hadn't seen before. I also wanted something I thought I could do myself as this would be my first sewing project.
I'm very happy with the results. I got quite a few comments on it at Dragon con and 2 other cons I have worn it at. Most people identify it as an original Star Trek series costume. A hand full know it's the Mego figure.
If anyone has any questions about the costume, please feel free to ask.
I saw you at Dragon Con (even chased you up two floors trying to take a photo but got lost in the crowd). The costume was awesome, I realized right away what it was. With all the costumes at Dragon Con it's always nice to see something original.
