Edited to add: I thought in terms of playing with not necessarily displaying MOC

Loved the LJN Ultimate Warrior. Just sold a nice one that was MOC a few months ago to a friend. I'm still a little heart broken but I know it has a good home. Funny how that works.

actually the Wrestling superstars are one line that got WORSE with age. look at the initial offering, with the exception of Andre, they were spot on. all the way until the Paul Orndorff and Tito Santana came out, then it became pick and choose, By the end there were incredible figures (Terry Funk,Hogan in white shirt, Haku, Harts, Kamala, Jake Roberts, even Outback Jack) and some of the worst sculpts for magnificent characters (Ultimate warrior, Killer Bees, Big Bossman). I always felt slighted by that character in particular. Looked like they tried to sculpt Kerry Von Erich in a junior high sculpting class. I remember being so peeved when I got him. BTW the only things that got me more angry were the fact they gave us ONE member of Demolition, and the cancellation of "The Hati Kid" figure. Would have been to this day the only Midget wrestler immortalized in plastic! (or rubber;and don't gimme that Hornswaggle crap, he is an accessory, NOT a competitor)

Funny thing is the worse and uglier things get the more I love them. That's why I love the toys and packages from the 60's and 70's. Let's face it, the art is not as sophisticated as it is today and also lacks the detail but that's why I love it!! I'm sure just about every member of this board can agree with that because of their love for Mego.

BTW, I had the list of the next wave of LJN figures and I know Demolition Smash was on it but the line canceled. I'll try to find it and give it to you, if you don't already know it.

I used to call LJN as a kid and they would send me lists of the figures they were slated to release. After the Kamala wave, i stopped collecting toys and started collecting girlies phone numbers...lol. Very curious as to what the final line was to be.

My buddy found a nice LJN Warlord in the ocean in FL. He brought it to work and asked me if it was worth anything. I said probably not and it was still very nice with all its paint intact and would look nice on any shelf. I never knew they made that one until I saw it. This guy knew that I loved megos and gi joe so when I asked if i could have the figure he said no and then started stabbing him with his razor knife and before I knew it he was quartered and decapitated. I watched in horror and he gave me his hand so thats all I got from this very cool LJN wrestling superstar.
