    Rank your 12 inch!!

    Mego figure, that is!!! ;D

I love those Mego 12 inchers when I was a kid. Here is my top 5!!

    1. Hulk: I just loved this figure!! The head sculpt is awesome (reminds me of the Elastic figure), the lab coat, ripped pants, and big bulky body. You can't go wrong with a big Hulk toy to smash things with. Best of the bunch because I had so much fun playing with this thing as a kid.

    2. Captain America: How can you not love that over sized head to make America proud with!! That big shield was also a plus to defend justice. Best Cap figure ever made in IMHO (the 8" comes in at a close second). And without a doubt, the best box of all the 12 inch figures Mego ever made.

    3. Superman: The Christopher Reeves movie 12 inch Supes is the best of the Superman bunch and he was jacked. Fly Away Action made this figure authentic to what the hero is. I used to put him in flight position and throw him off my parents roof. Fly Superman, FLY!!!

    4. Spider-man (web-spinner version): I never thought Mego got Spider-man's face as good as it could have been on this figure. But it was still very, very good and how could you not love a 12 inch Spidey that shoots icky, wicky, spidey, webby gooooop to capture his greatest foes (and you could cut them out on the back of the box to try it). Now that's fun, fun, FUN!!!

    5. Batman (magnetic version): This Batman was ****ed, muscular and ready for action. His head sculpt was not as good as his 8 inch counter-part but it still manages to be the best of the 12 inch Batman's. Plus how much fun was he when he stuck on the playground slide to defeat his enemies. God, where have those metal slides gone off too?

    What do you guys think?
If you're a fan of old-school toys, toons and comics then my blog is the place for you!!!

KISS, especially Ace; Buck Rogers line, especially Tiger Man; and Magnetic Batman and Robin are among my favourites (also the 9 1/2" Robin kicks butt, but I don't know if we should include him in the list of 12" figures even though technically he's a part of that line).

Yes, there was a non-magnetic Batman with regular blue hands but he's quite rare. I forgot about those late issue non-magnetic 12" Batman and Robins. They would rate high on my list too, not that I'll likely ever own them.

I think all of the 12 inchers had better head sculpts than the 8", except for Star Trek, but I really like the Buck Rogers figures. They were really well done.

I think the head sculpt on Mego's 12" Robin is the best version of the character ever committed to the third dimension.

There were so few of the classic Superheroes in this format, not counting Wonder Woman. I loved them all, particularly the skinny 12" Superheroes I grew up with, and the 9" scaled Robin.

Wasn't too big on the odd looking Superman "Movie" line, but I've grown to appreciate them as an adult.
