I've made an interesting recent discovery. There is still a surviving store that traces it's roots directly back to Heroes World! The store is called Hall of Heroes located in the Moorestown Mall in Moorestown NJ.
How is this store related to Heroes World? Since I've been grabbing a lot of late 70's early 80's comics and I noticed in one of the old ads one of the HW locations was the Echelon Mall in Voorhees, NJ. It then clicked. In 1998 I had visited the Echelon Mall because I was in town for a wrestling event and Taz was doing at autograph signing at a store called the Hall of Heroes.
I had no clue at the time it was a former HW location. I did some research this morning and found they are still around though no longer it the Echelon mall which was been redesigned. This is their twitter page. Store looks small but since I'll be in the area next weekend I'm going to check it out.
