Just wanted to introduce myself and thank all that make this site such a blast to read! I just joined yesterday but have been reading for about 2 weeks now.
I was a child of the 70's and unfortunately my parents didn't have the money to buy my brother and I the toys that all my friends had and loved. The only Mego "new" we ever got was Christmas of 75 or 76 when my brother got his Green Arrow and I got my Captain America. I can't tell you how much we loved those figures. After all these years they still stand out to anything I ever received.
I had started a collection of mego's about 10 years ago when my kids were 5 and 6, the rough ones they even played with and the nice ones I displayed. After selling them all off about 9 years ago (other than a Cornelious my grandfather bought me at a flea market when I was about 9 years old, he will never leave my side) and a beat up robin, penguin and a couple of spiderman my boys scarfed up from me. I now decided to re live my childhood an try and collect them again. I have now got about 40 either with me or on the way via auctions. I have to say its not near as easy to get them when you are trying not to break the bank!! I am hoping to get a list updated of my duplicates and parts and hope to do some trading on here.
