    Mego Christmas 1974 & More

Digging into the old picture albums for toy pics. I have found some from 1974 through 1979. I'm sure there are more. These were some of the better pics, but many other great ones are stuck in the albums, and I need to extract them carefully. For now, here's what I found.

Christmas 1974, I was 5 (almost 6). These are probably my first Megos.

The next year, looks like I got a 6 Million Dollar Man figure. That's my older sis modeling the latest '70s fashions.

Birthday 1979, I was 10. Got a copy of Son Of Origins of Marvel Comics, and what appears to be a Hulk Jiggler. In another pic (not shown) there's an orange Micronaut Time Traveler, but I don't know if that was a birthday present or not.

And lastly, back to 1975 (I think), me as Batman in a homemade costume. The mask is vinyl that was used to upholster some chairs.

      Awesome stuff, loving it!

What was with out hair back then? It's like we all went to the barber and said "gimmee the Spock". I had the exact same cut.

My dad cut my hair (with clippers) until I was about 6. Then it was a bowl cut till I was about 12. Yikes!

What kills me is the "etc." on the kitchen wall. Did the Sears catalog sell those?
Wasn't that on the wall in Mary Richards' apartment?

I had to look at the stuff on that wall for 20 years of my life! The only good thing about it is that I knew from an early age that it was, "etc." and not, "ect."

Can there any doubt why we are so obsessed with this stuff 40 years later? Great memories.
