I drive past the Kruger Street Toy and Train museum on a regular basis!

I will DEFINITELY be in attendance this year!

anyway, at least it'll be a short drive!, I've been looking forward to attending more toy shows (I collect a LOT of toylines!), and one in my hometown is too good to pass up!

looking forward to meeting the good Doctor! (Mego, that is).

the Retro Action Heroes are out in full force, and hopefully by June we'll hear rumors of wave 2 hitting (Just leave some for me at the nearest TRU, Gang!)

I'll be honest, I had never even heard of it prior to joining the board.

but then when I found out where it is, I wouldn't dream of missing it.

I'm an 80s kid, so I didn't have very many Mego toys growing up (that's not to say I didn't have ANY).

so I didn't really come to appreciate them until adulthood.

but appreciate them I do. I'm really hoping to build a nice WGSH collection of vintage figures, as well as a nice collection of NuMegoTrek to compliment my vintage ones.

maybe I'll be able to do that affordably at MegoMeet, maybe not, but the fun is in the hunt!

I also collect Playing Mantis Captain Action. I'd collect vintage, but my pockets don't go that deep.

Also, for the record, while the Kruger Street Museum is a fine museum in its own right, My local area is home to THREE major toy museums!

There's the Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum, the Marx Toy Museum (Marx Toys actually had a factory in the area), and the Bellaire Plastic Brick (Lego) Museum!

so, if you're into other great toys, they're worth a trip in and of themselves!
