Since I still consider myself a newbie in Mego collecting, is Mego Central the old forum, a separate forum, or something else? Looks semi-current with posts, but doesn't have as many individuals actively using it.

Mego Central is a separate forum and has nothing to do with the Mego Museum.

MegoCentral is quite a pathetic site, isn't it? I rarely visit there, as it seems 90% of the posts are generated by the guy running it, with very lackluster participation from anyone else. My perception is that it only exists because he wouldn't play nice here. Days pass in threads with no posts. I've never bothered to register; seems to be no point, this site has everything you need.

Everything you could possibly ever need is right here, this place has all the latest info, makes the most discoveries, has the best galleries, ...
We even have trading cards and now we'll soon even have Mego versions of our mascotte and the PlaidStallions mascotte. Who can top that?

While a smaller and less active site, they are nonetheless a sincere and dedicated group of fellow Mego fans and friends (ouch, I think I just poked a hole through my cheek with my tongue).
