POTA Soldier Ape question

I was wondering: were all Soldier Apes releases with the "glove" stitched to their cuff?
Were none released "bare-handed"?

I have two Soldiers from way back, and neither has the glove or the longer cuff. Sure, maybe somebody cut them off so the ape can grab a weapon (I know I would have), but I'm not sure. The cuffs look really clean, not assaulted with scissors....

There are 2 types of soldier uniforms , the first has removable gloves that sort of look like oven mits and the second one has just the cuffs stiched to the sleeve of the tunic leaving the hand exposed ....... Hope that helps you ...... Roy

I think the stitched-on cuffs (without "mitten") were later releases & often show up on UK gorillas.

I really like them--looks nicer, more finished, and you can see the hand sculpt and utilize accessories.

Yeah the stitched on cuffs version seem to be a little harder to come by.The only apes i have with stitched on cuffs are the two Generals.All my soldier apes have the "oven mitt" gloves or are supposed to have them.

Personally, I prefer them without the mitts, so they can handle wepaons, swing from trees....

My first soldier ape (a lizard skin) came with mitts. My second one (purchased new by me and my Grandma at Big N in the mid 70's) came with sewn on cuffs exactly like my Urko had. So yes, they came both ways.

Any idea on the pricing sandy? Just curious...with so many 8" Mego scale Figures coming out...it's gonna get tough on the Wallet.
