Yeah, they're definitely tougher to find as single packs, though the value doesn't seem to be significantly different. About 10 years ago, I put together a single-pack set and it took a while to find them, but they do show up on ebay from time to time, just not nearly as frequently as the 2-packs.
I agree with these guys. Over the years, I've seen and owned quite a few of the 2 packs. I've never owned an individual pack and haven't seen anywhere near as many. But they don't usually sell for considerably more than they would if you bought them in 2 packs.
And how weird is it to see a Walton's topic at the top of the Buzz

Not weird at all Rob.I think MEGO deserves a thumbs up for the Waltons, and OZ lines. They both had great head sculpts, clothing, and packaging.Even though they weren't as exciting as WGSH, Apes, or Trek, I always thought they were very well done.
I don't know. The best part about the Waltons in my honest opinion is that darn Model A Ford Truck. I would love to own one. I mean the real one. I have the 1/9 plastic version but, that truck is just awesome!

Totally AGREED. Never a big fan of those lines, but the head sculpts were near perfection..!
Dorothy provided me a super custom Trek Yeoman, also great for super-heroines. The other figures also provide lots of latitude.
i got my first waltons for christmas 1975,not as cool as the main lines but i always thought they were cool, the sculpts were good ,the clothing excellent,i dont have single boxs ,but many loose and boxed sets, and the eary shows were good also
The Waltons line is pretty neat. Thanks to members in the museum I have a complete set of individually packaged characters and the house. Now I just need that elusive truck.

I loved my Waltons dolls, especially Mary Ellen, Mom and Grandma.
The job they did on ME's sculpt was perfect, and completely unlike the generic, too bland countenance of their Supergirl/WW etc. figs.
Okay, the Grandma looked a little bit on the dour side, but she wasn't that bad. I was thinking of using her for a Mrs. Claus custom.
John Boy, Dad and Grandpa were kind of okay, but I didn't like the fact that they stuck Grandpa's head on a fat body.
I had the house for a long time, until it fell apart, but I don't think I ever had the truck. I did have the large plastic, sticker covered radio that came with the house, though.
I'm still working on these. Need 3 more. Man, for some reason I can't seem to catch a deal on these. I'd love to get the House and truck some day.
I think the Walton's truck is probably the most common of any 8" line vehicle.
