Mego sighting on Big Bang Theory...

Did get confirmation from my buyer....the Mego Spock used in the episode was the one I sold him.

why, why, WHY!!! With all of the loose Spocks out there, why buy a carded one just to open it and rip the head off?!?!?!

That's really cool. I guess that big bucks TV production companies can afford to waste money on MOC toys just to open them up. Good thing it was something common.

I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago....about 4 weeks ago, I had an original Mego carded Spock on Ebay with a BIN price...I got an email asking if I would overnight the package the next morning if the item was purchased that night... I responded "yes" and told him as long as he was will to pay the $22 to ship it overnight...he agreed...he then asked if I can send it to his work address and I responded "yes"....well his work address was Warner Bros Blvd in Burbank and it was sent in c/o "The Big Bang Theory"....I assumed it was being used for an upcoming epsiode but wasn't sure when or how.

Now, not sure why he would have me overnight a MOC Mego Spock just so he can open it up and pop a Mr. T. head on it, but who knows...unless the MOC Spock will be used on an upcoming episode.... we'll see.

I am going to try emailing him...we'll see if he responds...I'll ask if the one I sold him was used last night or if they are using it in a future epsiode.
Will update when I know more.

With the upcoming epsisode on March 29th and the MEGO Spock making an appearance, I doubt it will be this one that I sold (since they popped the head off for that episode) but you never know.

the phot in this weeks entertainment weekly shows a loose Spock and the boxed transporter and in the background you can see the card for a Trek figure, can't tell if it is opened or not

It seems like people in TV production only understand "immediately".
The guy you were dealing with was probably told the day before the
shoot to get a MEGO Spock and it has to look good on TV.

The fact that this discussion is still going on is a ringing endorsement of
the Spock we made.

It is hard to tell ours from the original unless you are holding the two
in your hands.

Last Christmas, I handed family members a vintage Andorian and my
Andorian and asked them to say which was which. Most of the time,
they thought the vintage one was the reproduction because of the
hollowness of the MEGO body. But they are not MEGO fans.
