Now ya need a black one, a red one, a green one, and a brown one to complete the Wink set. Somebody had an ebay auction a few years back with a bunch of them. Made them sound like they were rare things. Wish I had kept it cuz it was funny.

It's a 'flash' of plastic that at one time was probably either in a neck or arm hole and is a remnant of the manufacturing process. Occasionally you will get a Mego figure with an annoying rattle inside it. This 'wink' is the source of the rattle.

I have a bunch of them and all of mine seem to have come from the neck hole. I haven't seen one the correct size to for the arm hole.

I thought the same, but one thing that does confuse me is I would expect the 'front/back' seam on the torso to be visible across the wink but it's not - strange.
