Flash Gordon question

Here's what may seem to be a dumb question about the new Flash Gordon figure: Are the boots removable, or are they molded?

In the drawing it looks like they are molded, as the ankle joint is clearly seen.

I couldn't tell about the Ming figure, because the feet are hidden underneath the robes.

Stunning work on that, BTW. Makes me think it IS Ming.

on the other hand that might just be to show where the articulation is. did you notice the picture they have up of Kate from Lost? It is a picture of Evangeline Lilly with joints drawn on to show where the articulation is

I wanted to know before I put in a pre-order.

If, I repeat, IF, they do a Dale Arden figure, that they do her with the same level of artistry and professionalism that they did Ming and Flash.

Flash will have black Andorian boots over black spandex leggings.

It wouldn't be a mego style figure if the legs and boots are molded plastic.

Your memory is correct. I think when they shifted focus to the 8" inch offerings BBP abandoned the 7" figures. In my opinion the 8" protos look much stronger than the 7" protos that were floating around for Lost - so this change in focus is a good thing.

Kate is coming soon. The head sculpts needs a few paint adjustments, and her outfit is not complete yet. Once ABC signs off on these aspects, we'll post it.

Correct. We wanted to show everyone the drawings the new figure will be based on. We are still waiting for some additional changes from the sculptors and factory, then we can reveal this figure.

How many licenses did you people pick up anyways?

Dark Shadows, Twilight Zone, Flash Gordon, Lost, Venture Bros. etc.

Where do you find the time for them all?

1) Dark Shadows is not our license.
2) We've had Twilight Zone for a year already - bobble heads of Twilight Zone have been selling very well - we've sold out of 3 shipments already and can't keep these in stock.
3) We've had Flash Gordon for about four years, and made a fantastic 7-inch line.
4) We've had Lost for about a year. Bobble heads have been selling well. We cancelled the 7-inch action figure line in favor of the EMCE line.
5) Venture Bros is new for 2010.
6) We don't sleep. :-)
