MEGO vs MATTEL

I've just read through this thread...and really haven't seen too much *****ing."Most" People were quite civilly discussing their concerns about the obvious flaws in the Mattel Bodies that they'd like to see fixed(and everybody's entitled to voice their own opinion). I would said that just comes from People not wanting to buy a brand new Figure...and having to swap the Body out for an EMCE, or Cast-A-Way one.

That said...I'm going to look on the positive side, and say what I am grateful for. I am glad that these Mattel Figures are Mego sized, and have soft Rotocast China made Heads,Accessories, and Costumes that WILL fit a EMCE, Cast-A-Way, or original Mego Body.

Of the 9 Figures shown so far...I will own 7 of them. So Mattel really is filling in some holes in my Mego collection.

I'm backing anyone who makes Mego style action figures. Why? Because the Mego style is the best. Opinion? Yep. But I love "Megos" and I will back anyone who makes them. Now I just need Mego style Star Wars figures.

Honestly, Mattel has been around for decades, and there is a reason for it. When their products are not up to customer standards, they actually do listen to us. I am sure they have seen the production problems, and am CONFIDENT you will see improvements in the next wave. Who knows? these Barf Bodies could be phased out mid run and these could be "Holy grails" some day
Bottom Line: call the customer service line, and POLITELY give them feedback. Remember these are for kids too, so there are safety checks too.

My Mego Green Arrow Faced off against the Mattel GA and round one is a draw . Seriously, Mattel GA looks a little better, mostly due to the colors of the costume, flexability is about the same, the Mego GA will hold a pose better due to the legs. I'd say the new Mattel bodies compare favorably with a type 1 Mego as far as posing, and just below a type 2 Mego. Good stuff, with some room for improvement.

I'm very happy that this line was even made. Thanks to Doc and everyone who participated in making this line a reality. Kudos to you. I'm going to support this line to the Fullest

Sorry but the figures flop over and aren't as playable as mego's. I do agree original mego's are not the most playable figures but at least they can stand straight.
