I gotta disagree somewhat. Every week my two older children do chores around the house to earn their toy money, and every Saturday morning we go to TRU so they can spend it. Both children have learned to save their money for a week or two if there is a toy they really want bad enough.
Although they both could afford one $10 toy per week, more often than not they choose to wait the extra week so they can buy the single larger toy. Don't get me wrong, there are weeks when $10 is enough for that long evasive wrestler or Barbie; however, saving for an additional week to pay for the higher priced toy is not something they fear so long as they want it.

Some of the early cell phone pics of the figures in the wild showed a 22.99 price point... I paid 19.99 each here in FL. These pricing structures are usually regional for retail... though TRU seems fairly uniform in my experience - as opposed to say, Target, where some pricing and certainly clearance discount waves have store manager discretion attached and can vary a lot store by store. I'd be interested to know if it's a state thing for TRU, or something to do with population density (maybe urban areas impact freight charge, etc)
Regardless of whether it's regional or whatever, I still just feel these guys are pricey for a TOY of their nature. However, as a collectible they're priced fairly. The points of view of each consumer is what makes all the difference.
Will I buy them all? Yes, because I'm a collector and I'm VERY GRATEFUL that I can buy them as a collector. Would I buy them for a child? Never. I don't feel the price is justifiable. And given the weak points of these figures that have been given all over this forum, that makes me feel that way even more so and that they'd never withstand the pounding of aggressive play.

Well I went again today not expecting much since I was told the truck comes on Tuesdays now. Turned the corner... And there they were... Two complete sets hanging there. Had I even remotely thought they'd be there I would have taken my camera. Both Lex's were unstitched. All had their accesories. I bought one set and left one. It was actually pretty cool seeing Megos in the stores again. Both the cashier and another person commented on them as I was checking out. Kudos to Mattel and Doc. Looking forward to Wave 2.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

SCORE ~!~!
Last night I found Superman & Lex at TRU in Jhonson City, TN.
That is all there was, and it looked like there were only 2 spots for them to hang.
No problems, with either one. And my Lex is not stiched on the black straps.sigpicWho stole my stuff !!!Comment
