Oxyclean to clean Mego costumes?

Hey guys,
A couple people recommended Oxyclean to me to clean Mego costumes.
Have many of you used this and can you verify that it won't destroy or fade the costume?

Also any tips in getting ink out of costumes would be appreciated as well.

oxyclean works great - just don't use a whole lot.

as far as ink, the oxyclean will get a lot out. but you can pretty much try any stain remover to try and break it up. Mego suits are more durable than you think!

Thanks MegoSpidey, could you give me a short step-by-step of how much you use and for how long you allow it to soak, etc?

When using Oxi-Clean on muti colored suits (ie Neptunian suit) be very careful because the colors can bleed into eachother... It has happened to me.

Here is how I do it

1-Get a glass and fill it with warm water
2-Add about 1/2 scoop of oxi clean
3-put the uniform in and stir
4-Dump out the water and fill the glass with water
5-stir again to get everything out of the uniform
6-let the uniform air dry
