I've had this theory: the name of the line is Famous Covers and they used Avengers #4 for Cap. On that cover Cap is leaning forward so his star is bigger and his stripes are forshortened. I've often wondered if they took that artwork literallly when they made his suit. Hence the screaming mouth, giant star and tiny stripes.

I've liked Mego's Caps, changing out the hands for red Spidey ones helps.

Mego was always cutting corners if they could...Adding gauntlets or cuffed boots as a running change would have been great, but *gasp* they had to pay for a shield as Palitoy points out.

For the 8" version, it's that terrible deco that sabotages the sculpt...

And MegoSpidey's Cap is the best custom of him I've seen...

Interesting Theory! I always assumed it was a "nineties" thing, but I guess that was the cover they were basing him on.
