Okay guys and gals...some help here please.

I really really want to get a 12 inch fly away action Superman. My grandmother on my dad's side (now deceased) gave me one for Christmas when I was a kid and my younger brother being angry at me once when I was about 13 or 14 totally annihilated it and I have wanted to replace it ever since.

It is important to me that the figure and costume be in good condition, but I could care less if it comes with the box or in the box because I want to hold it in my grubby little mitts and display it on my entertainment center with my other Superman/Batman/Hero stuff.

I have found one on eBay that is in the box, which, like I said, doesn't matter to me one bit. How much is too much for something like this as far as price is concerned? I really need some honest opinions from the most knowledgeable source and figured this was the best place.

Yeah I know. I also try and be smart when buying because, well, a laundry list of reasons, I have a guilt complex over many things and buying things for myself is one of them, so buying smart makes me feel better about the situation. If that makes ANY sense...lol...I just don't want to bid an exorbitant amount for it and be taken. Is there like, a price guide or something to go by or a general consensus on the actual dollar amount this may be worth?

It's the Christopher Reeve version, just like the one I had as a kid.

..and the more I look at it, the box is in decent shape too..this baby is going to skyrocket and become a bidding war I feel.

Well, I would look through ebay's ended auctions and get an idea of how they are selling, then set a price for yourself that you will stop at if it bids high. You can also post your original comment in the Marketplace and mark it with a "w" for wanted and see if anyone here has one that they are willing to trade or sell. Wish I could tell you a price off the top of my head, but I've never been that into the 12 inch line.

Under $100 is possible for a boxed one if you are patient. I paid about $70 shipped for mine.

I would concur with Mike, I paid a little more for mine because it was a Canadian box but otherwise they are something that pops up frequently.

Okay...thank you very much everyone for your input. Also thanks for moving the thread whoever did so. I realize I'm new here and stuff doesn't exactly end up where it should sometimes.

I'm just watching it. Hopefully it won't get too horrible.
