One of the nice things about the Mego stlye figure is that you can make smaller runs, since you don't have to do as much tooling; and you can do all sorts of odd side projects. Like Shonen Jump did for comics, you can test the water with all sorts of stuff and find hitherto unknown audiences. (I never woulda figured Dexter toys would sell....)

Exactly Don. The significance of this is that Paul Clarke has made making action figures accessible for small audiences. Bif Bang Pow already made bobble heads of this guy and feels there is enough of a fan base to make a figure. Scott Ian fans are probably saying why are they making Mego Museum figures? Heck, if I had enough money, I could have a figure made of myself! *shudder*

i find nothing lame about this figure. that could be becasue im a huge anthrax fan. but the detail is quite stunning from the "not" on the neck of the guitar to the goatee, and even the jackson. i think its great

I'd rather have a set of Slayer figures. Hell yeah. Anthrax was great in the '80's, but went mershmetal (commercial metal) and did some rap crap and I totally lost interest. I do still love the Among The Living album. Their first album Fist Full Of Metal is probably their very best. I know it's my favorite!

I like Spreading the Disease, It has it all! Slayer did their fair share of selling out, but the new cd shreads.

Actually you COULD use him with the "Married With Children" figs...

Why Scott Ian? If I had a chance to make a rock star action figure , I would have chosen someone a little more appealing like King Diamond or Dimmu Borgir. Or any corpse paint wearing person.

For the record Scott Ian has always been a very vocal comic and toy collecting dork just like us. So while he was enjoying the sweet nectar that was the late 80's metal scene he stood unashamed about his love for comics and toys. For that I applaud him and may even buy the figure. Sort of like Seth Green but much cooler.

I wasnt questioning his Geek cred..... But if I wanted a figure of a bald guy with a goatee I would have Black-knight make a figure of me... And I love Anthrax!!! And S.O.D. I think it would have been a little cooler if they made a figure of the "NOT" MAN or of Sgt. D
