Having just seen the pics, I am completely excited about these Mego like Retro Action figures. Batman is the coolest of them all. The cowl's ears are a little longer and there are white slits and no eyeballs thank God and Greyhound. All I will need is a pair of the blue shorts from Dr. Mego to give him the SuperFriends and Filmation look. Batman will definitely be one of my first purchases. Two Face looks good, though I will say he was the one I least expected to see. I was hoping for Joker, or Riddler or Scarecrow for the Legion of Doom. But I like how they designed Big Bad Harv and will definitely get him.
I'm excited to see a better designed Aquaman and we're finally getting Black Manta. I can't wait to get these Retro Figures already!
And it's nice to know that Wonder Woman is planned and being worked on. Hopefully, we'll see the Cheetah as well.
For the next wave, I hope we get the Flash and Captain Cold, and down the road, I'm really hoping to see Robin, Hawkman, Batgirl, Catwoman, Bizarro, Brainiac, The Toyman, Plastic Man, The Atom, Giganta, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, and Captain Marvel just to name a few.
The only thing odd to me was the head design for Bruce Wayne. It looked a little weird, or I just need to see a better picture.
    Cheers.

I like the Batman sculpt. It does look like it may be a cowl, because you can see the neck under the cowl area it seems. Very Super Friends-like.

Two-Face is dead-on the classic comic interpretation.
OK....seeing the close-ups, I'm more sold on Two-Face. A suggestion for him though if possible would be to have a pattern on one side of his suit (usually it's the "scarred" side). At first I thought he might be the peg-warmer of the group but that headsculpt is growing on me real quick....Reminds me of Irv Novick artwork.

The removable cowl on Batman would look better I think if the cape closes tighter around the neck, otherwise you see that patch of flesh peaking through.

Aquaman I'm still not sold on the glove-cuffs...

That pic just raised more questions on Bats. Any close up detail shots of Bats and Bruce would be welcomed. Hopefully the cowl will fit better than that...? He looks like his face is melting... Black Manta and Two-Face look good. I like Aquaman's outfit, but his face is very vanilla. That does not look like any hairdo I have ever seen Aquaman have. Looks like a Dick Grayson with Blonde hair. But with regards to Batman PLEASE Mattel PLEASE... don't make a cowl that doesn't fit the head like Hasbro did with their attempt.

That Two Face head sculpt is very solid. He may be the gem in this wave. With respect to Batman and Aquaman - I want to see how the protos progress into the final product. I think MIB41's take on the Aquaman head sculpt is consistent with mine - something a little plain about that interpretation of him. I'm sure he is a tough figure to capture, but not much character there. Black Manta's head sculpt looks good.

Black Manta is just phenomenal! Overall Wave 2 is excellent. Today has been like a dream.

              Thanks for the link, Chris!

That Batman cowl reminds me of the plastic one that came out in the 1960s.

                    So do I!

I backtracked from Chris's link and found pics of new JLU figures, including a sweet Brainiac, Firestorm and a new Superman with the bottled city of Kandor. Oh, and new Red Sox baseball players from McFarlane.

I guess I should start saving and making room now.

I've found the last 10 toy fairs boring and disappointing, I can't believe what today has brought.
You said it! This is kinda off topic, but I've been to five or six TFs, only one of those was way back when (um, the early '90s way back), the rest over the last half decade, and what I've seen here just blows all of them away. Not just the Mego style figures or my beloved Universal Monsters, but kid-dreamlike stuff such as a rocket firing Boba Fett, or a Super Powers style Lex Luthor vs MOTU Skeletor 2 pack? CRAZY and FUN! I don't collect much of this, but I sure do appreciate it. Can't wait for more pics of the smaller companies displays. I actually wish I'd gone this year, even w the snow and the fact that the lady pal would not be happy were I in NYC again without her on St. Valentine's day.

It seems for the most part many of us are unimpressed when a WGSH is remade, but we're overjoyed when a new character appears.

I think it's because when a new character is made we have nothing to compare it too.

I'm not 100% overjoyed about how this line is going, but I still have a lot of high hopes.

If it is a cowl, it's the tightest one ever made, which is a good thing.

And it DOES resemble the Ideal Batman play-cowl. I have one!!!

It looks like he has the mego batbelt and outfit. I think if the mask fits a little higher up everything will be fine. These are just prototypes, I am sure the final product will be better. Thin the head a little and adjust the cowl, Bam good job.

Wow....that close-up makes it clear...Batman looks like a dork with that cowl. Yeah it resembles the Ideal cowl from the 60s, but hell this ain't the 1960s. I would have rathered they didn't try and emulate Mego's RC idea if that's the best they can do with today's technology. Batman may very well be the weakest link of this line IMO.

It's two heads. And I'm willing to bet that one will be a variant and probably shortpacked.
