Points of interest - The cards are all identical to Green Arrow's in every way including the flimsy structure. So imagine these figures in your Green Arrow card and your there.

Here are my initial grades -

Lex - 5 stars - PERFECT

Sinestro - 4 stars - About as good as you could get for this villian.

Superman - 3.5 stars - Might just be the way he's posed in the box, but the suit "appears" to really show off Mattel's wonder-thighs.

Green Lantern - 3 stars - A little generic in the face but more in the Mego tradition. Still very cool. I'll post more and better quality pics later. Had to rush these a bit, but I thought everyone would want to see them. I will open them and take better pics of them loose with my wife's IPhone. Any points of interest you want me to take pics of, post them here and when I get back from doing some dinner and errands, I'll take those shots.

Retro Action Wave One Has Arrived!

Is everybody (i mean) those whom have gotten Wave 1 already,.....has it been only thru superherotoys? Are there no other vendors selling these beauties yet.

This makes me excited to see. I've been debating on ordering them now or waiting to see them in TRU. You guys aren't making it easy.

Okay. A little later than I had hoped, but here are some loose shots with a few notes of good news...and bad news.

First in the bunch is Superman's cape. And yes the decal is there. Looks great!



Here's a better shot of the chest emblem and belt...



Here's a detail shot of what I referred to earlier as a tight suit revealing too much of the Mattel body issues. Notice the wide hips well on display. This along with the figure being too tightly strung made Superman the hardest to get in a descent pose.

On to Green Lantern. This first pic represents the NATURAL pose all the figures with the exception of Lex wanted to stand like because of being strung too darn tight.



With a careful balancing act you can line him up to a better posture like this...



Here's a straight on shot. The face is pretty good but a tad generic for my tastes.

Here's Lex and his Kryptonite. Easily the best figure in the lot. Stands good and looks much better in person. A MUST for any Mego fan... my humble opinion.

Sinestro is also done very well. No complaints here except being tightly strung like most of the others.

And I wouldn't forget a ring shot for both our Lantern carriers...



And here's a group shot of all of them together loose. Fun bunch without a doubt and worth the wait to hold in my hands. My primary problem was just their postures from being strung tight, but this may not affect all the figures. Maybe I just got a bad batch. But the outfits are superb and the head sculpts are what every Mego fan dreamt of in the 70's. What is my recommendation? COLLECT THEM ALL!
