is ClassicTVToys a reliable store?

I was reading the wiki article on Mego and it mentioned ClassicTVToys's low quality Mego-esq lines. A quick Google search lead me to their store where they have some cheap Mego bodies (3 bucks!). Are they legitimate? Are the bodies poor quality?

ClassicTVToys is very legitimate. In fact, I just got a package from them yesterday. Their bodies are poor quality compared to Castaway's or even the original Mego bodies; however, the quality improved a bit as time has gone by.

You can feel very safe purchasing from them, but one of the customizers on this site could better answer about how well their bodies hold up.

If you play with the figures then the bodies are probably not very good. However, I own every figure sold by ClassicTVToys and have never had a single problem with any of them for posing purposes.

Overall the bodies are smaller, thinner, and paler than your Megos. If it wasn't for the color difference it would be an ideal body replacement for Robin... you know,.if it wasn't for all of the other issues.

They have very little quality control over there, all of the figures tend to have flash that will have to be removed unless you want it chewing up whatever clothes you put on them... And they are made out of very cheap plastic, which is strung together very tightly. So, I've had leg pins snap with little to no force put on them, hands split open, joints loose or fixed in the wrong spot so the limbs won't bend without breaking... And the neck holes on the body are sometimes far to small for anything (try imagining stuffing a neck plug into an arm socket), so you would have to cut them open a bit more.

But, for every 2 horrific ones I've found, I've gotten one that was almost halfway decent.

I'm trying to put together a Batman using the Bruce head, gloves and boots from ClassicTV and the gray suit from CAT. How are the quality on the gloves and boots from ClassicTV?

Gloves and boots are excellent. No problems there. And their service is lightening fast. You will not be disappointed.

There bodies are really bad but their clothes are great. They also have great service and super speedy delivery

Hmmmm....

Their service is pretty good; as are their accessories. The bodies are tricky: avoid the female ones. The male ones, if they're in a weird color, are usually okay. The caucasian ones started really REALLY bad, but as time went on they improved. A lot of 'em have cracked hands or feet. Later ones are good; but you don't know what you're getting 'til you get it. (I ordered a few last month. Needed some bodies for a couple customs, so I was gonna use these 'cos I'm replacing the hands and feet. Funny thing; I couldn't find any broken ones.)

The glow bodies are really nice too.
The accessories just can't be beat for the price but the selection on some things is small.
