my mego zorro figure update :)

well a few weeks have gone buy since getting hold of my zorro... he has his original clothes..but was missing his.. hat /sword/cape...

after chatting with you megoheads i realise that repros were my only option to put things right.... so im not so lucky to be like clemso and own a top notch zorro but im happy... so the update is....

sword i have docmego & classic tv version...

cape... now this cape to me is the best ive seen ..its brilliant and id say almost twin to an original from pictures ive seen.looks awesome.

and to finish it off a nice repro box from the toyroom ...

now the last thing on my mind is selling him..but how do you rate a price on him...? i know the parts are repro but with his original head/body/top/ pants/
what price would be considered as right for him as he stands now..love to hear your comments cheers daveuk

oh forgot to mention.. im hunting that original blackbeard sword.... its gota be somewhere??? .... then i guess thats it for original parts.... the other 2 definate no nos :(

yes the vest top and the pants are what ive put up... there must be a zorro somewhere with cold kneecaps but maybe not...

One of these days i'm going to wander down to the local charity shop or car boot sale and find one of these boxed for a tenner. I'm also going to win the lottery and live forever.

Good luck with auction Dave - knowing what the minimum reserve price is here in the UK it's a pretty tall order - just hope somebody needs 'em that badly

paul you never know what mite turn up... theres gota be plenty lofts unturned still here in the uk and must be megos still sleeping in some of them ...waiting to be cleared to the charity shop... its just a matter of being in the rite place at right time when it happens yes thats the thing with the zorro parts i guess..if you not got the zorro then the others bits are pretty useless and dont warrant the spending..but if you got a zorro who needs his pants your in luck.. i can make your day

I came across your post when looking for Mego Zorro information and have just joined the forum so this is my first post.
I have a Zorro figure in similar condition to yours which I've had for a few years (I found it in a junk shop for a fiver!!!) and was wanting to get a repro cape (like you, I got the hat and sword from Dr Mego) and just wondered where you got yours from as it looks great, just like the original.
By the way, is the hat you got from Dr Mego a kind of resin type material with a quite roughly cut edge or is it factory produced like the sword?
