I have a Mr. Fantastic on a French card with a GRAY FACE.
I paid $68 shipped.
I have a Mr. Fantastic loose, and I want to add Johnny Storm to the gang.
I hope to buy one of those Baxter Buildings and the Human Torch changing chambers.

Should I open the a nice French card, and swap heads?
It's tuff to get a Fantastic Four outfit with no problems.
How do you guys feel about opening a MOC figure for the FUN of it?

You guys let me know.

I say a collection is what you want it to be. If opening the card will give you what you want then go for it; however, for some opening a carded mego is taboo.

I say not to open it. They're not very common. Keep it carded.

If you are a packaged collector, or even thinking about toying with becoming one, you have to keep it sealed and then keep the hunt alive.
Otherwise, pop it.

I think it also depends on the condition of said card. If it's trashed then rip that puppy open. If it's mint I think a MOC collector might switch with you for a lesser one you could open. How mint is the card?

Perhaps you could offer a trade or partial for a minty loose example. Someone may be looking at getting into carded figures and want the upgrade. It is worth a shot.

It this were a American card, I would not even ask.
I would keep it as-is.
But it's the FRENCH, I'm not a hate-er.
They just seem... fake?
