    Exclusives

I don't mind exclusives *IF* they are reasonably easy to obtain. My opinion was a bit soured by the Wal-Mart Exclusive DC Universe Classics series 5 & 10, but I was eventually able to find both those series in a store after many return trips to various Wal-Mart stores.
This particular exclusive (Mattycollector Green Arrow) I have no problem with, as it was easy to obtain, and remains available more than 10 days after its debut. If every exclusive was this painless to get, I'd have zero problem with them.

That's why they should have them in ALL the major stores. Not just one exclusive seller.

I'm not too crazy about exclusives. I remember when the 12" GIJoe was making a come back, and Target was offering their exclusive 12" Hall Of Fame Duke, you had to put your name on a list to get one. Luckily, the day the commercial premiered, my ex-hubby and I put our names on the list and we each got one. Those things were gone in a week. I felt bad for the people who wanted one but never got to have one.

And in regards to this Green Arrow figure...I know most people have access to the internet, but what about the folks who don't? Some of these people might live near a Toys R Us or Target or Wallmart, but b/c they don't have a computer, they can't get the figure. I don't think that's fair.

I think if they want to have exclusives they should make it a variant and then release the normal figure in stores so that everyone else who wants that figure can still buy it. This way if I don't want the purple-suited, chromatic bow, beardless Green Arrow online I can still buy a Green Arrow at the store with the rest of the line, dressed in his traditional outfit. All the completist geeks can waste their money on the online variant and I would care less.

I don't collect other stuff enough to want any other exclusives. I don't even know what is out there.

As a general rule I'm not crazy about exclusives, but the Green Arrow exclusive on mattycollector was pain free so no complaints on that one.

Exclusives are a great invention to charge more money for something that normally would be normal priced.

I'm surprised the whole collecting community never revolted and and shunned them by now.

Keep buying them and they'll never go away.

In stead of releasing 1 exclusive now they could've also released the entire wave 1 now

I think we all should have complete access to tons of figures.
It's not the rarity of a figure that's important, it's the fun of the figure itself.

My favourite items are not rare at all, and easily available.

I'm glad Matty had the Green Arrow exclusive! Otherwise I wouldn't have any of the new Mattel figures yet. It was very easy to get and I didn't have to make a sixty mile round trip to TRU to get it.

Ugh, I hate exclusives. They never seem to have enough and you have to jump through hoops to get it. Plus they usually end up on eBay for twice what they went for
