Let us not forget Toyfare, back in the boom times of action figure collecting. I know those guys Seinrich and Root were a leading force on the staff with "Twisted Mego Theater". BUt as far as the show goes that is crappy that you aren't getting screen credit Paul. And as far as their humor it's getting a little too gratuitous for my taste.Comment

The Shaw Shank Batman/Joker Skit & The Cat with the Big Fat D#@%! were really, really funny Skit's,.. that still make me laugh when I think about them.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I don't think it's on here anymore but I used to watch it pretty loyally. It's hit or miss, some inspired funny moments and some stuff that makes it look all "cable access".
They used to contact me via proxy for stuff, I in turn got Azrak to sell them some Riddlers and Robins once.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I like RC, but yeah, the skits are hit or miss. Some hilarious stuff, some not so much. I don't make it a point to watch every new episode when it airs, but I do watch it whenever I catch it on, and I own the first couple of seasons on DVD.Comment

I catch it when ever I can---and yes quite a few of the skits are hit and miss-but still find them watchable!!Comment

In the beginning, the novelty of seeing Megos on the screen made up for the sophomoric humor. I got over that, though.--

It always been interesting to me that Robot Chicken was never a huge topic around here. We go nuts for all kinds of Mego sightings, but this show never had a huge following like I'd expect. I figured someone would have a website obsessively breaking down each episode for Mego content, analyzing their choices, doing interviews, etc. This profile is no longer active.Comment

I would love to see RC get more fans. Even the skits that are not involving toys I like are cool. I could watch a new episode three times in a row and not get bored.Comment

Yes, the show uses Megos and a lot of vintage toys but it shows them often in a very negative light. It doesn't really fill that nostalgia vibe when the show is coarsely laughing at the toys and cartoons many of us grew up with and not affectionately laughing with them.
I personally don't want to see Lion-O as a drunken redneck living in a trailer park, Jokey Smurf turned into a serial killer, He-Man threaten to rape Skeletor's skull and then get killed by Beastman, Jem using a urinal, etc. Not my style of humor and I don't like seeing toys and cartoon heroes from my childhood depicted in that way.
Now, I'm not knocking the show or people that like it. To each their own. I personally just don't care for the style of humor and I'm guessing others feel the same and I think that might help explain why it's not a more popular topic. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

I love them making fun of all that old cartoon stuff! I don't want to see a "and they lived happily ever after" comedy show. I just wish they were longer episodes.Comment
