AJ Spy Outfit question

Hi Gang,
So I got myself a really mint Tarzan awhile back but he is missing his knife so I have been looking to get an original 1 for him and as I was looking I was also getting into collecting AJ (Thanks Bry lol) I bought a AJ Spy outfit set and the knife in the set looks very much like a Tarzan knife and knowing Mego they are well known for reusing parts. Now here are my questions 1 is this the same knife they used for Tarzan and 2 should I keep the spy set intact and look for another knife for Tarzan or should I just complete my Tarzan with the knife from the set?

Personally, I would give the AJ knife to Tarzan, and use the rest of the Spy Outfit for a custom Prototype Peter Parker from the original advertisement

Totally great lookin' Alter Egos this way. Affordable! And not exact replicas of the real thing but not quite the real thing. This way it's a "what coulda been" Alter Ego.

I don't know what's weirder with that outfit on Parker;the fact he's got a gun or the fact he's got a knife.

Also you may want to be aware that MOST of the AJ spy sets knives will have a pinhole in the blade from being attached to the card back but there are some that weren't pierced but STRADDLED with the thread thereby making them PERFECT for a Tarzan replacement knife.

Hey that original advertisement for the Alter Ego's, shows Dick Grayson in "Don" clothes. All you need is the shirt from the AJ spy set, the pants from the motor cycle set and the cleats from one of the sports sets. Hhmmm, I wonder if from that advertisement is where MEGO came up with Don.

Hard to tell from that pic but that doesn't look like a spy shirt. The sleeves look wrong and the waist looks wrong?
I assume he's holding a Robin mask since Bruce is holding a Batman cowl? Plus he has black shoes/boots, not the white shoes.
I wonder why they'd have them like that when they have no such items with Clark or Peter? It's not like they included those parts with the sets.

I don't think the picture of Peter Parker has him with the Shazam head. I can't figure out which head it is.
