    Retro-Action Green Arrow: Up Close

Another up close shot of the upcoming Retro Action line, this time it's Oliver Queen himself! The Green Arrow!

The original Mego Sculpt has been altered here, it's not a reproduction but a nice alteration of the original. Amazing how the eye paint changes the whole aesthetic.

Green Arrow will be availble December 23rd (that's tomorrow people!) at MattyCollector.com

Many thanks to EMCE and Mattel for this early peek at this line, it was a wonderful present!

His nose isn't quite as " Roman" as the Mego one.I still love it!

I like what you have done with the jawline. He no longer looks like he is sucking on an egg or his eyes don't look like he was huffing cans.

The nose is unchanged from the vintage MEGO Green Arrow.

The costume shown in the pictures is Dave McCormick's hand
made prototype suit, not the production version.

The alterations to the vintage head were done by Andy Covalt,
with a great deal of reverence for the original.

I meant no disrespect to Dave's costume. I thought it was the final production one, not a hand job. (don't ever look at my sewing that close)
How well is the new costume going to fit on a Mego body? Will we be able to use existing patterns to make costumes for the Mattel figures?

I don't think most people would be able to tell the difference between the new and old heads if they just saw it on a figure. The eye paint is the most obvious difference. If it was just sitting on a shelf with some mego figures it would just blend in and not look obvious. You know what I mean? Green Lantern would be noticed in a heartbeat. Sinestro and Lex, too. Superman would take a second glance. But Green Arrow will blend in. (except for the bow)
