I'm a big fan of the 12" line of figures (greying faces aside), finally completed a set, and I'll probably also try to put together a set of loose 3 3/4" figures too (I never had any of them as a kid). I love the Bridge playset too, I'd like to get one of those. Man, they were being cleared out at the Bay for 50 cents each??? I wish I would have stumbled upon one of those!

I had the complete line of 3.75 figures and the enterprise set. I loved them. I was almost 8 when the movie came out. I actually just sold the figures about a year ago on ebay. the bridge set did not last long because it was so cheaply made. I only had Kirk from the 12 inch line but always liked him and wanted the rest of that line as a kidComment

I love the STTMP figures. I have them all lg and small, except the Megarite, can never seem to win one with a cape. The 12 inch Klingon is my favorite figure of all time, any maker, any line. I still have my 6 loose small crew figures from the 70s. I had no idea they made the Aliens until I went to my first Trek convention in 1986. I scored the JC Penny's 3 pack for about 30 bucks from a dealer. It was one of my best finds ever becasue I didn't even know they existed until that day.sigpic "Only an apostate would flee to the Forbidden Zone"Comment

The line never appealed to me as a kid because there was no Uhura, Sulu or Chekov (Which is weird because there was never a Sulu and Chekov in the 8" line, but it never bothered me 5 years earlier) and way too many aliens that I didn't remember seeing on the screen. (If only I knew). If I had seen a Mego Enterprise, I would have begged my mom to get it big time. I still think the refit version is the best design for the starship.
I had seen the production still of Stephen Collins in the yellow suit, so that never bothered me and I don't know if it was a rumor based in fact or not, but at one point I thought I had heard back then that Star Trek 2 was going to bring Decker and Ilia back somehow. Maybe that was from when they were going to be regulars on the Phase II TV show, before this went to become a movie. If that was a true rumor, it makes sense for Mego to decide make their figures. It's all good!Comment

I think Decker would have looked better staying in the yellow outfit, but I guess that's 'change' for you..
Still one of my favorite movies ~ It's actually the one of the few Trek movies I like watching over and over again.. along with perhaps the new Trek film, 'First Contact', and sometimes 'Undiscovered Country'.
The others get a bit too 'hammy' for me.

The bridge playset also reflected the earlier designs of the bridge which included a docking port.Comment

For some reason, when I was a kid, I thought that people of the future were so smart that they knew that wearing pajamas all the time was a great idea. You never have to change... just go do your stuff during the day, then jump right in bed. I didn't figure baths into the equation though...Comment

That set looks like heaps of fun, wouldn't you be so proud to invite your friends around if you had that to play with!Comment

>Bill Lemon did the 3 3/4" figures, he did much of the Aurora kits and that's why they sculpts are so tight.
THE MAN IS A GOD! A GOOOOODDDDDDD!!!!
*ahem* I mean; the aliens were neat, and having seen the figures as an adult they really are well done; but I think they suffer from the low painting technology of the day.

Almost any of the Mego 3" figures look amazing with a little detailing, it's hard to see here but the painted production pieces (probably done by Tory Mucaro) for Buck Rogers blow Star Wars figures away:

It's shocking they would actually use a uniform like that which clearly showed his "potato".
Everytime I watch TMP and see Decker I still think --- what were they thinking ?Comment

Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment
