I never liked that they made Spock's uniform wrong ... and gave Decker a yellow uniform.
By 1980, you'd think Mego would have already been over their quaint-incorrect phase.

3" figures were cheaper to make and more profitable, the 12" line was done because you could get more detail out of the uniforms.Leave a comment:

You know, it's odd that they didn't try the 8 inch stuff since they already had the head molds for most the characters. I'm guessing they were just riding the market trend.Leave a comment:

8" figures would've been so cool. Too bad they decided to hit both ends of the spectrum (3 3/4 & 12) instead of aiming at the middle.

Thats sweet looking never seen that before. It would have been cool if they made a full sized U.S.S Enterprise liked the Falcon. That would have been cool smashing the boths ships at war as a kid.Leave a comment:

Hmmm....
I remember the aliens being readily available; and torturing more than a few with lighters and firecrackers. (I always thought they looked kinda wimpy.)
Hey! I never knew this:
>Rigellians were supposedly descended from a race of saber-toothed turtles.
I know of only ONE saber-toothed turtle....

I found that loose one at a Flea Market I think, I've gone after a boxed one 3 times and always had my pants pulled down and dragged around the gym by the bigger kids.
In the 80s, I cleaned out the Sears Clearance Warehouse of Enterprises and Klingon ships, sold them for $15 each.Leave a comment:

Star Trek TMP Gallery Updated and Revised
Want to feel old? Star Trek the Motion Picture was released 30 years ago this month. While the "human adventure" didn't set the toy aisles ablaze with sales, Mego squeaked some fun toys for Christmas that year and we've completely redesigned our Star Trek: The Motion Picture Gallery.

We've added dozens of new packaging and revised figure shots, along with new images of unproduced prototypes like the Vulcan Shuttle play set.
So Beam Aboard the New Mego Star Trek: The Motion Picture Gallery.
