12 inch magnetic Batman costume swap costume?

Hey everyone,
I have a 12" magnetic Batman but his costume has some stains on it. I'd like to sway his costume with a cleaner one that a friend gave me, but his boot things won't come off. and I'm worried about destroying both costumes in the process.

Does anyone know a safe way to do a costume transplant on Bats?

Open the costume on Bats.
Disconnect his shoulder pins.
Pull costume down put arms aside.
Pull legs up through the body of the costume.
Put the new costume on over the thighs first then reconnect everything as you pull the costume up.

That's how I did mine. The boots may get snagged on the old costume so you may have some trouble there but I just yanked and fiddled with it for a bit and it all came off.

Forgive my ignorance, could you explain these 2 steps just a bit more?

Pull legs up through the body of the costume.
Put the new costume on over the thighs first then reconnect everything as you pull the costume up.

Did you mean disconnect thigh/leg pins instead of shoulder pins?

Or... you can remove the feet by pushing the pins out of the ankles...the boot tops will slide off then. Just remember to be careful and support the area around the ankle as you push the pin through.
