What would be a decent price for a Type 0 Batman? He is definitely not complete. I know where I can probably get one, but, want to make sure I'm not overpaying.
Thanks
Might help if you gave more details.
I'm assuming RC bats since you say he's on a Type 0 (which may or may not be a head swap but who can really say?) but you need to tell condition and what parts are missing.
stirrup suit? skinny boots, bluing, etc.
Rich
Well, first, he is not a RC. Also, he is pretty much nude. He does have a gray outfit, but, it is a one piece, no black shorts. The body is a Type0. He was wanting $20. He also had a Spidey on a Canadian card (I think it is Canadian) for $65 bucks. The cards is a damaged. And, he had a Thor helmet for $8. He also had a nude Robin T1 for $15. I went ahead and bought all of it except the Robin. Don't think I got a good deal at all on the Batman, but, that's ok. Thought the T0 was kinda cool. The Spidey I guess is a decent buy. I'll probably upgrade that card at some point. But, the Thor helmet, I thought was the best deal.
Could the suit be from a Ledy? I would guess Tin Man, but you never know! I think it's a head swap though. The Thor helmet was a good deal...especially if it still has the pin.
If you had a T0 bats, he would be early with skinny boots and waffly gloves and all that jazz. No molded head on that one. The body is cool to have tho either way.
Thor helmet was indeed a good deal and a supercrisp uncirculated Spidey is worth it. It all evens out.
Here are the pictures of the Batman I bought yesterday. Not sure if you can tell from the pics, but, the outfit is a little loose around the waist. I don't believe this is a Batgirl outfit. It could be a Tin Man, but, I've never actually had one of those, so have nothing to compare to. Anyway, is there any way to tell if the head has been swapped? I looked through Holcomb's book, which I just got last week (and can I say, it is the best collector guide of all time), and I can't find anything about whether the T0 was relegated only to RC or whether it could come with molded head. Anyway, I'd like the input. I'm glad I got the T0 body either way.
As for the Thor helmet...it does have the pin. I was pretty pumped about that. I wish the card for Spidey were in better condition, but, that's ok too. He also had a Green Arrow hat for $8, but, I passed on it. But, before people start screaming at their computer, the feather was busted off.
That is a tin man jumper.
The T0 body was well out of the way by the time they moved to a molded cowl Bats.
The question is, are there any documented t0 bats out there? It is possible that the first four may have used that body if the factory was shy on the riveted ones, but I would want to see it in a solid box before I would say it was not a swap project.

Of course with Mego you never ever know for sure. Some factory worker stumbles on a box of T0 bodies two years after they stop using them and ships em over to packaging and they get shipped out. The fact they redressed him in a TM jumper I think raises some questions. With what we know for fact I would say it's a swap based on that alone.
I still would have grabbed the GA hat. The Ga hat and the Thor helmet intact for $16 is a deal no one would pass on. And it is a very hard to find original piece even if it is damaged. No one would pass on the Helmet for $16
Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical on the T0 Batman. I'm sure it was common to swap out heads a lot and definitely clothes. I never did swap heads as a kid, but, I swapped clothes all the time. Wish there were a way to tell on the head swap for sure. Definitely would need to see a boxed version though to be sure.
Glad to know the outfit is a Tin Man outfit, cuz that was driving me mad trying to figure it out. I actually looked in a book at TinMan, but, didn't look close enough obviously. I didn't noticed he had a jumpsuit on under his "tin".
So, $8-$10 is a decent deal for a GA hat, even if the feather is cut off? I may have to go back and grab it. Heck, if for nothing else, I could trade or at least keep it til I upgrade.
