RIP Robert Levy : The Creator of the Mego Mailing List
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Robert Levy. Robert created the Mego Mailing list in the dial-up days of the internet and, in doing so, built the online Mego Community we have today.
In that selfless act (he paid for the whole thing out of pocket), he united so many people who shared their knowledge and passion. The "Levy list," as it was known, was where a guy named Paul first announced he was now "Dr Mego", where we met lifelong friends, ended up doing Mego conventions and casting heads in our garage.
Most of all, we dreamed of the return of Mego, and I don't know where we would all be without his actions and kindness.
He exited collecting some time ago, but his impact is everywhere.
Rest in Peace, dear friend.
