Would you buy Mego Marvel Variants?

In a perfect world, where everyone were able to purchase a Disney Mego, would you buy variants, such as the Nicholas Hammond and '67 cartoon Spidey? I would be up for a Lou Ferrigno Hulk, whatever limbo those rights are in.

Those three would be the only variants I'd purchase.

I don't go for MCU action figures, or 60's Batman, or any of the TV shows. I like my super-heroes from the comic books, please and thank you.

However, the Lou Ferrigno Hulk would be a yes. I'd save him for when they make a Jack McGee figure.

Lou Ferigno Hulk would definitely be an intriguing variant! I had the 12" Mego Hulk as a child when that show was originally on TV, and couldn't understand at the time why the Hulk in that show: (a) was so much smaller physically than my doll and than in the comic books, and (b) was only shown for, like, 2-3 minutes at a time, once or twice per episode, while almost all of that show was 'boring human talking'....

For me personally, my original Mego Spider-Man WAS the figure I associate with the 1967 'Classic' Spider-Man cartoon. As a kid, that cartoon was being re-run on local television at the same time that the 8" and 12" Mego Spider-Man figures were being sold. Even as an elementary school-aged boy, I particularly liked the 'dark and jazzy' episodes, which I learned decades later were the later ones and were by a young Ralph Bakshi. I can't imagine it happeneding now, but I would be thrilled if Mego made figures of some of the villains in that show.

No. I'm only interested in classic comic versions.

I'd like to see any kind of variation made that would make other collectors happy and make Mego Corp money, but I am not interested in collecting anything other than the remakes of the original figures from Mego's heyday. I've enjoyed being able to get figures like Green Goblin to plug up holes in my collection and getting boxed versions of figures I already had such as Green Arrow and Aquaman, but I've limited my collecting to a representation of Mego in the 70s.

I would be more interested in remakes of the originals, along with new comic characters not made back in the day, like they did with Electro. Hopefully will see more of Spidey’s foes in the near future like Doc Ock and Vulture.

But I do agree that a variant of Ferrigno Hulk would be cool.

                  Then we're agreed on Lou!

Make it happen (and available), Mego!

I would pass on tv show versions except Lou Ferigno would be one I would get. I met Lou at a Bodybuilding contest in 1979 and he was really nice and talked with us and gave us workout tips

I'd buy anything that looked like the TV stuff.

I'd be in for that (if I could *find* them) -- Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man, Lou Ferrigno Hulk, Reb Brown Captain America, and Peter Hooten Dr. Strange would be a cool set of four!

I’ll just be glad to get anything Marvel Mego at this point. It went from April to July last they said. I hope we get more and it doesn’t continue to get pouched back or disappear all together

The more Marvel, the merrier! Mego made a lot of Spidey variations back in the day. I'd like to see a different outfit than the one they released already. I don't think it looks very good. I can't believe they used it. People have made way better looking ones for customs. I think Ed Nagy made some way better than the one that got released.
