It's cool but doesn't really scream Batmobile to me like Kenner did with Super Powers. Was the WGSH reboot going to be 3 3/4 inch pocket hero size or Eagle Force scale? You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return... -
Yeah... it is cool... but definitely looks recycled from some other toy line and painted like a Batmobile!Comment

Oh, I'm disappointed that I'm giving that impression with this. It's a pretty damned cool reboot, I'll share more once the issue hits.

I pre-ordered this issue and if I had known it was part 1 of 4, I would have picked the 3-Issue subscription package. Maybe I can do that for issues 14-16?
Anyway, I am looking forward to this issue, but even more so after seeing this prototype. Batmobiles are always experimental and I think this falls into that category. As a fan of the 8" cloth suit figure, I am curious to see where Mego was going and what the scale is too. I had a good number of Marvel Secret Wars and Mattel Super Powers figures, but it was the vehicles that pulled me into those lines, not so much the teeny, tiny, "not 8-inch" figures I grew up with and loved. But G.I. Joe: ARAH really pulled me in, despite the 3-3/4" size.Comment

I actually like the look of that prototype Batmobile. To me, it looks like it would've fit in well with the Spider-Car and other similar Mego vehicles.
That said, I never really liked the look of the original Batmobile, or the one in the 1966 TV show, or those in the 1989 movie or its three sequels. (Way too ''gaudy' for my personal taste. )Comment
